TIG Welding Usage Instructions & Precautions:

1.Surface Preparation

Ensure the base metal is clean, free of oil, rust, paint, or any contaminants.
Use a stainless steel wire brush dedicated to stainless steel to avoid cross-contamination.

2.Tungsten Electrode Selection

Ensure the base metal is clean, free of oil, rust, paint, or any contaminants.

3.Shielding Gas

Use 100% Argon or an Argon-Helium mix for better penetration.
Maintain proper gas flow rate (typically 10–15 L/min).

4.Polarity & Settings

Set the machine to DCEN for stainless steel TIG welding.
Adjust amperage according to rod diameter and material thickness (e.g., 1.6mm rod ~ 50–80A).

5.Filler Rod Handling

Match the filler rod type (304, 308, or 316L) to the base metal for optimal results.
Feed the rod steadily into the molten pool to avoid oxidation.

6.Post-Weld Cleaning

Remove discoloration and oxidation using a stainless steel brush or pickling solution to restore corrosion resistance.

7.Safety

Wear proper PPE: welding helmet, gloves, flame-resistant clothing.
Ensure adequate ventilation to avoid exposure to welding fumes.
